Museum

The Northern Ireland War Memorial (NIWM) operates an accredited museum which tells the story of how Northern Ireland was affected by and contributed to the Second World War.

Situated in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter the museum preserves and displays a unique collection relating to the Belfast Blitz, the American forces, the Ulster Home Guard, industry, and the role of women as well as several significant artworks. The museum also delivers a wide programme of workshops and events.

Accommodation for Ex-Service Charities

In line with our mission, the building houses the offices of the SSAFA, Combat Stress and Help For Heroes.

The board room and conference room on the second floor are available for free to all ex-service bodies as a charitable output.
