Annie was seriously injured during the Easter Tuesday Raid at her home on Eastland St. Her son David, brother, and nephew, both called William Wallace, were killed in the same incident.
On 26th April 1941 she succumbed to her injuries and died at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
Annie is buried with her son, brother, and nephew in Belfast City Cemetery.
