Arthur was presumed dead as a ‘consequence of war operations’ at an inquest held at Belfast City Hall on 19 June 1941. He was killed when a parachute mine landed on Veryan Gardens during the Easter Tuesday Raid.
His parents John and Emily, wife Alice, children Kathleen and John, sister-in-law Olga and nephew Peter also lost their lives.
