Elizabeth was presumed dead as a ‘consequence of war operations’ at an inquest held at Belfast City Hall on 26 June 1941.

She was killed when a shelter was destroyed on Thorndyke Street by a bomb during the Easter Tuesday Raid. At least 18 people were killed in this incident including her parents Robert and Margaret and her siblings Mary, Martha and John.

Elizabeth has no known grave.
