Francis was killed by a bomb explosion during the Easter Tuesday Raid along with his parents William and Jane, and siblings Violet and Frederick.
Additionally, their elderly neighbours Mary and Sarah Addis had taken shelter with the family and they too lost their lives.
Francis' body was taken to St George’s Market where he was identified by a friend.
He is buried in Belfast City Cemetery.
