Private Ivor John Rees was one of 13 service personnel to lose their lives at the 24th London General Hospital at Campbell College when three huts and the north block, including the officer’s mess, were destroyed by high explosives during the Fire Raid.

One civilian was also killed in this incident.

He is buried at Llanelli District Cemetery.
