James lost his life at his home on York Street during the Easter Tuesday Raid.
His wife Martha and children Elsie, Sadie, Norman and James were also killed.
James’ body was taken to St George’s Market where he was identified by his brother-in-law.
He is buried in Belfast City Cemetery.
