Jane was killed by a bomb explosion during the Easter Tuesday Raid at her home on Sheridan Street along with her husband William and children Violet, Frederick and Francis.
Additionally, their elderly neighbours Mary and Sarah Addis had taken shelter with the family and they too lost their lives.
Jane’s body was taken to St George’s Market where she was identified by her half brother.
She is buried in Belfast City Cemetery.
