Place of Death: Injured 16 April died at hospital Lisburn Road.
Known as Jackie, he was injured when a parachute mine landed outside York Road RUC Barracks during the Easter Tuesday Raid. He died of his wounds on 21 April 1941 in hospital. Another policeman, James Meaklim and the Barr family next door also lost their lives in the same incident,
Jackie is buried in Carnmoney Cemetery.
