Known a Cissie, she was presumed dead as a ‘consequence of war operations’ at an inquest held at Belfast City Hall on 26 June 1941.

She lost her life when a shelter on Thorndyke Street was destroyed by a bomb. At least 18 people were killed in this incident including her sister, Matilda and brother-in-law Thomas.

Cissie has no known grave.

Matilda is on the right of the picture with Mary Ann on the left.
