Known as Forbes, he lost his life at his lodgings at the home of the McDonald family at 70 Disraeli Street. The McDonald family and their neighbours Hannah and Martha were also killed in this incident.
Forbes’ body was taken to St George’s Market where he was identified by his brother.
He is buried in Lorem Church of Ireland churchyard, Co. Carlow.

He was the son of Mr and Mrs B Albert Vigors, Knocklonogad House, Corries, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow.
