Gunner Peter Jones lost his life when a cartridge burst prematurely at his anti-aircraft battery at Balmoral Golf Club.
He was the son of Chris and Isa Jones of Glasgow and the husband of Helen Jones of Sandyford, Glasgow.
Peter was the only military fatality of the Dockside raid and he is buried in Sighthill Cemetery, Glasgow.
