Sarah Addis lived with her younger sister Mary at 23 Sheridan Street and they took shelter with their neighbours, the Graham family at number 25 during the Easter Tuesday Raid.
Mary and Sarah were presumed dead as a ‘consequence of war operations’ by an inquest held at Belfast City Hall on 12 June 1941. Five members of the Graham family also lost their lives in the same incident.
