Una was presumed dead as a ‘consequence of war operations’ at an inquest held at Belfast City Hall on 19 June 1941.

She lost her life at her parents home on Ballynure Street during the Easter Tuesday Raid. Her parents Jeremiah and Lavina, brothers Desmond, Jeremiah, William, Robert, Jack and Cecil, husband John and daughter Joan were also killed. The Douglas family who had taken shelter with the Clarkes were also killed.

Una has no known grave.
