Violet was presumed dead as a ‘consequence of war operation’ at an inquest held at Belfast City Hall on 29 October 1941.
Her parents, William and Jane and brother, Frederick and Francis were also killed at their home at 25 Sheridan Street.
Additionally, their elderly neighbours Mary and Sarah Addis had taken shelter with the family and they too lost their lives.
