William Cathcart Barr was injured when a parachute mine landed on the road outside his house during the Easter Tuesday Raid.
His father James, mother Jeannie, sister Elizabeth as well as two policemen in the RUC barracks next door also lost their lives as a result of the blast.
William was brought to Belfast Union Infirmary where later died from his injuries on the 21 April 1941.
He is buried in Connor New Cemetery along with his family.
